My name is Karen Robles and I have been an undergraduate researcher in the Witman Lab since 2019. Generally, I am interested in invertebrates and how marine species adapt to cope with extreme and/or changing environments. Previously, I helped analyze recruitment plates to understand changes in barnacle populations in the Galapagos Islands and I currently work on analyzing video transects to determine reef fish herbivory rates. I will be completing an Sc.B. in Geology-Biology and plan to attend graduate school afterwards.
At Brown University, I form part of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and am a student tutor for STEMS (Swearer Tutoring and Enrichment in Math and Science). I have also been an intern at the National Museum of Natural History and will be interning at the Marine Biological Laboratory (2021).
